Who we are

Usha Mangal Corporation (“UMC”, “we”) is an industrial fastener manufacturer and dealer based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. For anything in this policy you can reach us at umcind@gmail.com.

Information you give us

The enquiry and quotation forms on this site ask for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, company and a message. We use those details only to answer the enquiry and to follow up on the resulting quotation. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Enquiries are stored on our own server for as long as the commercial relationship is active, and are deleted on request.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and product categories are useful, so we can improve the catalogue. It sets cookies in your browser and records:

• the pages you view and the order you view them in;
• how you arrived: a search engine, a link, or directly;
• approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address);
• device, browser and screen size;
• interactions with the catalogue: which categories you open, and which items you add to an enquiry list.

Google Analytics does not receive your name, email address or phone number, and the site does not run advertising or remarketing tags. Google’s own description of the data it processes is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Cookies and similar storage

• Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*), set by Google Analytics to tell one visit apart from another. They expire after two years.
• Your enquiry list, kept in your browser’s local storage so the items you shortlist survive a page reload. It never leaves your device until you send the enquiry.
• Your cookie choice, a single stored value recording whether you accepted or declined analytics.

If you decline, analytics storage is switched off for your browser and no analytics cookies are written.

Sharing

We share data with Google (as our analytics processor) and with the hosting and email providers that run this site. We do not share enquiry details with anyone else except where a supplier needs a specification to quote a part for you, and we disclose only what the quotation requires.

Your choices

• Accept or decline analytics cookies using the control above.
• Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to umcind@gmail.com.
• Install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on to block measurement across every site that uses it.

Changes to this policy
